Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director of Lead Generation will work closely with the Executive Director of Marketing in acceleration the growth of the business. He/She will be responsible for both strategic and tactical execution of the cross channel lead generation plans for Walden University. The individual will directly oversee a variety of marketing channels and work collaboratively with our internal/external partners ensuring the end-2-end experience supports our growth plans. The individual should posess experience in online media buying, paid advertising (e.g., SEM, Social Advertising, Display), conversion marketing and the latest interactive technologies. They should be highly analytical, thrive in a rapid response marketing environment and have strong desire to succeed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage online lead generation activities, including SEO & SEM, CPL, Display and new channels as appropriate.
  • Manage third-party vendor performance, evaluate all potential new vendors and participate actively in selection.
  • Lead the development and drive the execution of all lead-acquisition activities associated with new program launches and new marketing initiatives,
  • Identify, propose and develop innovative ways to find new sources of high-quality leads.
  • Assist in business planning, strategic planning and setting of goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate on lead generation budget management.
External Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related quantitative discipline, MBA preferred.
  • Must have proven ability to develop and execute lead acquisition, media buying and search strategies
  • Strong knowledge of the lead acquisition industry. (preferably in EDU or Financial Services).
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and ability to synthesize results, extract insight, develop recommendations, and present findings to senior management.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated individual capable of driving team performance.
  • Must have strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, have excellent project management and communication skills, and be able to collaborate, multi-task, and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, intermediate SQL skills a plus.
