The Florida Nurses Association has?endorsed state Senate candidate Mike Weinstein.
"I'm honored by this endorsement from the Florida Nurses Association, which represents the nurses who make up one of the most important pieces of our healthcare system,? Weinstein said in a release.
Weinstein, a state representative, is running against former state Representative Aaron Bean in a GOP primary for Senate District 4, which includes portions of Nassau and all of Duval County.

The Florida Nurses Political Action Committee, the political action committee of the Florida Nurses Association, announced its endorsement of Mike Weinstein for Senate District 4.
?FNPAC, the political action committee of the Florida Nursing Association, has voted to endorse Mike Weinstein for the Florida Senate, District 4. Weinstein presently is a State Representative running for the newly redrawn Senate District 4. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for Jacksonville mayors Ed Austin and John Delaney, the Executive Director of the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission, the President and CEO of the Jacksonville Super Bowl Host Committee and past-President of Take Stock in Children, a state-wide non-profit for underprivileged children. He currently serves as a prosecutor and the Executive Director for State Attorney Angela Corey?s office.
